MAIN SQUEEZE are back once again on May 27th at their home-from-home, Bussey Building, with their sweat-enducing monthly residency. This month at the CLF Art Cafe. they're joined by very special guest, DJ HARRY LOVE.
Born and bred in Ladbroke Grove, Harry Love is one of the UK’s dopest Hip Hop talents. Cutting his teeth originally under the moniker DJ Elmo, he came up through respected London institutions such as Deal Real Records and legendary club night, Kung Fu. As an original member of The Scratch Perverts, and a founder of the Extended Players and The Funhouse TV, he is revered globally as a turntablist and selector alongside luminaries such as Mr Thing, Shortee Blitz, DJ MK, Prime Cuts, Plus One and Tony Vegas. His DJ skills saw him touring from a very young age, appearing on stage with the likes of Jay Z, Kanye West, Busta Rhymes, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Q Tip, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse and Dizzee Rascal. As a producer, he has collaborated with the likes of Roots Manuva, Blak Twang, Mystro, Verb T (Four Owls) and Klashnekoff, to name but a few, creating some of the best loved British Hip Hop tracks ever made, and manning his own label, Medication Records. Even shown love nationally by the likes of Ikea (!), Harry remains a highly respected beat-maker to this day, and is heavily proficient in rocking dancefloors. A long time friend of ours at Main Squeeze, Harry smacks up parties like very few can, so we’re very pleased that he will once again be joining us for yet another heavyweight dance.
BobaFatt has been DJing parties since the early '90s. His mixes, radio shows and club sets have seen him awarded acclaim over the years from BBC 1Xtra, Mixcloud and Fact Magazine readers. In addition to his regular Itch FM show, he's recently spun for BBC Radio 6, is a resident at Soundwave Festival in Croatia, to name but one, and is part of the First Word Records crew.
Mo Fingaz began DJing in the early '00s, as part of Bristol D&B collective Drive By, and as part of The Snugs, alongside Swaby of The Heavy. These days, when he's not making beats or digging for breaks, he is resident DJ for London's longest serving Hip Hop party, The Doctor's Orders, a regular player at Hospitality, amongst others, and a founder of Near Mint Club.
