Growing up on a steady diet of East Coast Hip Hop in the early 90's in the Toronto area, JIM SHARP started playing records learning from the local kings of the turntables. Years of practicing took him into bars, clubs and raves across Canada with his stickered up record box. In 2003 Jim moved to London, UK and began the process again from scratch. After gaining residencies throughout London and a radio show on Itch FM, the rep grew bigger. With evolving and maturing musical tastes, Jim returned to the essence of Hip Hop - Funk and Soul. Releasing seminal mixtapes Straighten It Out Vol 1 & 2 and dozens of edits and remixes, Jim took his music back to vinyl with humble expectations but grand results. Along the way playing alongside and supporting deejays such as Skratch Bastid, Mr Thing, Jazzie B, Kon, Rich Medina and acts such as Pharoah Monche, Black Sheep, Jeru the Damaja, George Clinton and Mobb Deep to name a few. Joining forces with Marc Hype and the Dusty Donuts crew from Germany, Jim has released dozens 45's over the past 5 years, reigniting his passion for deejaying and rocking crowds with sets full of scratching and smile on his face.

CHRIS READ is a collector of hip hop, funk, soul, boogie and related beats and jazz based music since the late 80s, Chris came to prominence via his role as resident DJ and promoter of Music of Substance (one of the UK’s largest and longest running live hip hop events) and a two year spell as mix DJ on the BBC’s station for new black music, Radio 1Xtra.

In recent years Chris has acquired a cult following for his own unique brand of well thought out and deftly executed mixtape releases including 2008’s ‘The Diary’, downloaded tens of thousands of times and broadcast on national radio in 25 countries. TOP Selector.
