Main Squeeze with Russ Ryan | Sat 23rd Sept | Bussey Building, Peckham

return once again to take over the Bussey's turntables for another all-night throwdown of extra heavyweight proportions. This month Mo Fingaz & BobaFatt are joined by Russ Ryan. Expect Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Swing, R&B, Dancehall, Reggae, Garage, Grime, Jungle, D&B, Broken Beat and Breaks.

RUSS RYAN was born and raised in Bermuda on a diet of Soul and Jazz. He cut his teeth in Brighton on Hip Hop and rum and now spins records from London to the World. Over a decade of digging and collecting records makes Russ a formidable force behind the turntables, rocking parties alongside the likes of Roy Ayers,
Little Dragon, Jocelyn Brown, Soul II Soul, Jazzy Jeff, Slum Village, Dead Prez, Just Blaze, Doom, J Rocc, 9th Wonder, Black Milk and Action Bronson, to name a few. With one foot in the past and one foot firmly in the future, expect a genre-bending soul-drenched set.

BOBAFATT has been DJing parties since the early '90s. His mixes, radio shows and club sets have seen him awarded acclaim over the years from BBC 1Xtra, Mixcloud and Fact Magazine readers. In addition to his regular Itch FM show, he's recently spun for BBC Radio 6, is a resident at Soundwave Festival in Croatia, and label manager of First Word Records.

MO FINGAZ began DJing in the early '00s, as part of Bristol D&B collective Drive By, and as part of The Snugs, alongside Swaby of The Heavy. These days, when he's not making beats or digging for breaks, he is resident DJ for London's longest serving Hip Hop party, The Doctor's Orders, a regular player at Hospitality, and a founder of Near Mint Club.

MAIN SQUEEZE combined have four decades experience rocking parties, with cuts of precision and tracks of fusion. Their unmistakable brand of dancefloor murkage incorporates Hip Hop, R&B, Swing, Dancehall, Reggae, Soul, Funk, Disco, Garage, Grime, D&B, Jungle, Beats, Bruk, Bass and whatever else they manage to squeeze into the session.

Dancefloors get merked officially, efficiently, standardly, regularly.
